September 2019

Saturday, August 24th, 2019

Dear Parents:

The daycare will be closed on September 2nd for Labour Day.

We welcome you and your child to Bambi Childcare. Each room has its own schedule, and staff will make changes to schedules on a daily basis to meet the needs of your children.

The staff encourage learning based on actual experience and participation. Children learn social and intellectual skills, and are allowed personal choices. Good self-help skills allow them to develop independence and self-esteem.

Baby Room

We would like to welcome our new friend Kinley to our room. In September our activities will be related to Fall. We will make crafts related to the theme and learn about our body parts.

We are trying to teach your children to clean up the toys after they play with them (put them on the shelf). They love the song “Clean up, Clean up…” They are also learning to be gentle with their friends and to say “please” and “thank you”.

Toddler Room 1

The summer is nearly over, and we will soon have leaves falling from the trees. We hope you had lots of summer fun. We would like to welcome some new children to our room,  Sarai, Lena, and Aria. The children are going to have lots of fun getting to know each other, and playing with all the toys. We will spend September learning our new routine, singing new songs, reading some fun books, and playing in our centers.

In the last week of August we learned about zoo animals. In September we will start talking about Fall, etc…

Please bring four or five pictures of your child (with family members etc.) so we can post them in the room.

Toddler Room 2

Happy Birthday to Jude and Emily this month.

We are hoping to have some more sunshine this month so we can keep spending time outside.

We will do some crafts this month about our pets, apples, and our names. We will read some new books like “I am Puppy” “101 Dalmatians”. We will also learn about insects and zoo animals.

If your child has a favorite book or CD that they would like to share with their class, feel free to bring it in and I can keep it in a safe place until we decide to read or listen to it.

Preschool Room

Good luck to our First Graders, Tami, Tim, Dorian, Andrea, Juan, Bodi, Owen, as well as Aubrey and Maverick. We will miss you a lot, please come back and visit. You can see how much the apple tree has grown since you planted it.

The summer is almost over. We had lots of fun while it lasted. In September, we will be focusing on our room routine, numbers, etc. We will also try to go outside as much as possible. Hopefully the weather warms up for us. The arts and crafts will be related to the season.
